Dr. Paul Clark, Jr.
Interim Minister of Music
 
Paul Clark Jr. serves as Director of Worship and Music Ministries for the Tennessee Baptist Convention.  He is a graduate of Union University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and earned the Doctor of Worship Studies degree from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies in Jacksonville, Florida.  Paul served for 26 years as a local church music minister for churches in Missouri, Kentucky, Kansas, Tennessee and Georgia.  He came to his present role of ministry in May of 2000.  Paul directs the Tennessee Baptist Men’s Chorale and Tennessee Baptist Ladies Chorus, and has served as a clinician and conference leader at regional, state, and local events. Paul recently released his book on worship renewal through congregational singing entitled Tune My Heart to Sing Thy Grace. He has written articles concerning worship and music for Baptist publications and other periodicals, and maintains a weekly blog and email distribution for worship leaders.  He is called upon often to serve as an interim music minister in churches of Tennessee. In 2007 Paul served as the president of the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference.  He is married to his high school sweetheart, Ebbie, and has two married sons and a daughter as well as five grandchildren.  Paul and Ebbie make their home in Franklin, Tennessee, and are members of Forest Hills Baptist Church, Nashville.
